Preserving the Dudjom
Tersar Tradition

Rooted in the Dudjom Tersar lineage, cultivating wisdom, compassion and authentic Dharma practice. Dudjom Krodikali Association is a community for Dharma teachings, meditation and traditional practice within the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism.

About the Association

Rooted in lineage. Lived through practice.

Dudjom Krodikali Association is a Buddhist community established under the spiritual guidance of Dungsey Garab Dorje Rinpoche to support the study, practice and preservation of the Dudjom Tersar tradition of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism.

At its heart is a simple purpose: to create the conditions for Dharma to be received, practised and carried forward. Through teachings, meditation, sadhana, Tröma Chöd practice, Tshok gatherings, retreats and community activities, practitioners come together in a shared commitment to wisdom, compassion and authentic practice.

What Holds Us Together

Three foundations

01

Lineage

A tradition received and carried forward

Dudjom Tersar belongs to the Nyingma tradition and is preserved through an unbroken culture of teaching, transmission and practice. The association seeks to honour that continuity with respect and care.

02

Practice

Dharma brought into experience

Study is joined with meditation, sadhana and traditional practice so that Dharma is not simply something understood intellectually, but something gradually integrated into everyday life.

03

Community

Practising together

A Dharma community gives practitioners the opportunity to gather, learn, practise, support one another and maintain a meaningful connection with the lineage.

Dungsey Garab Dorje Rinpoche

Dungsey Garab Dorje Rinpoche is a principal holder of the Dudjom Tersar lineage and a central teacher in the continuation of its Dharma activities. Born in eastern Bhutan, he is the son and Dharma heir of Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche and the grandson of Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche Jigdral Yeshe Dorje.

Rinpoche has devoted his life to preserving and transmitting the Dudjom tradition through monasteries, retreat centres, teachings, empowerments and communities of practitioners in Bhutan and around the world.

A particular emphasis of his Dharma activity has been the practice of Tröma Nakmo — Krodikali — bringing practitioners together in disciplined group practice while maintaining the importance of lineage, transmission and guidance.

From Rangjung, a tradition reaches outward

Rangjung in eastern Bhutan is closely connected with Rinpoche's Dharma activity and the Dudjom New Treasure tradition. Rangjung Woesel Chöling Monastery, founded by Dungsey Garab Dorje Rinpoche in 1989, was established as a place where monks, nuns and practitioners could study and practise Buddha Dharma according to the Dudjom New Treasure lineage.

From these roots, Dharma activity associated with the lineage has reached practitioners and communities far beyond Bhutan while remaining grounded in the relationship between teacher, teaching and practice.

Carrying the tradition forward

Preserving authentic practice

Dudjom Tersar teachings pass from teacher to student largely through direct transmission — the association supports that continuity across generations.

Creating space for practice

Regular meditation, sadhana and Tröma Chöd sessions give practitioners a place to sit together, rather than practise alone.

Connecting practitioners

Members and newcomers with an interest in the Dudjom lineage find one another here, often for the first time.

Encouraging compassion and wellbeing

Compassion, ethical conduct and spiritual wellbeing are treated as the foundation of community life, not an afterthought.

Getting Started

New to the association?

You do not need to understand every aspect of Vajrayana Buddhism before making contact with a Dharma community. Some gatherings may be suitable for newcomers, while particular Vajrayana practices require instruction, transmission or empowerment from a qualified teacher. The association can help interested people understand which teachings, gatherings and community activities are appropriate for them.
